I just bought the B-206 to use with MSFS 2024 SU 5 in the marketplace and if I load it for a “free flight” it literally stays in the air, skids at head level and there is a really big cloud of exaust gas streaming to the sky and all this while the helicopter is supposed to be cold and dark. Please say, is an additional update for MSFS 2024 in work? Or did I just spend 41€ for a not functioning helicopter? I’m pretty sure I won’t get the money back from Microsoft, so I’m asking if you please could help me?
The 206 Legacy 2020 version was working perfectly in 2024, the exhaust gas thing is a know particle effect bug. Have you tried reloading the flight or reinstalling?
YES! After the Gazelle release we will be releasing 2024 versions of all our products beginning with the Bell 206. It will add all the bespoke features added in 2024 including Career Mode!

I disabled the B-206 in my library and re-enabled it again and the visual glitches are gone. Maybe something got messed up as I tried loading this beauty right onto the runway in a ready to fly state quickly to check something.
Sadly a I’m facing a different problem now. The keybinding „Collective Axis" disappeared and this is only the case for the B-206. If I choose the Cabri for example there is a section named Helicopters controls in the Controls tab. For the B-206 the same section is called Airplanes controls. Somehow MSFS 2024 doesn’t treat it as a helicopter right now. Strange, the first time I installed it I saw the collective moving and now the entire keybinding is gone.
It’s great to hear you are working on updates. It’s a nice feeling to know that you didn’t just invested money to something not maintained anymore.
EDIT: The collective moves after re-installation, but only because MSFS 2024 binds it to the throttle axis.
This is a limitation within MSFS 2024 using Legacy 2020 aircraft. Since we use a custom dynamic flight modeling system we had to use Airplane bindings in 2020. If we change then to allow for 2024 heli controls on our server or the existing marketplace build, EVERY 2020 use will not be able to fly the aircraft as is.

Thank you very much again. This solution did look very promising but it looks like this fix doesn’t work with the version distributed over the marketplace? Everytime I try to save the files in the correct folder, the entire aircraft disappears from the list of installed aircraft in the sim completely. Maybe you simply can’t modify an addon and changes have to be distributed over the official channel only? What I also observed is that aircraft.cfg disappears everytime the sim starts. Looks like luck is really not on my side with this one. I just believed it is fully compatible with MSFS 2024 if it shows up on the marketplace.
I can’t wait for you to release the Gazelle as well and update everything for MSFS 2024. Your helicopters are absolutely the best in terms of flight handling realism in the MSFS environment!
