Hi, Love the Helo and flies great, but starting it is almost impossible.
Tried with a mouse, binding VKB stick and throttle. Not sure what else to do or I ma binding it wrong.
Last try is with propeller small increments and still it hot starts.
for example when I use the mouse and same for everything else.
I have to do 3 clicks in order for the button to pop, but the minute it pops I am already over 15%. Is there something else I can do
Ok. In case anyone one comes looking. The manual is very confusing as written so this is my take.
Highly recommend and I would go farther and say you must bind the Idle release and have it on manual for this to work well.
Push the start button
When the gas producer hits over 15%.
Open the throttle and bring it all the way back. (you will hear the idle release button pop on(.)
No need to be precise or slow as long as you bring it all the way back quickly.)
(Because you have binded idle release and set it to manual, the gas will not shut off.)
NOW JUST WAIT.
It should reach 58% by itself. The starter button shuts off by itself (no worries)
Slowing bring the throttle up to 70%
Start the generator and other breakers and switches you want.
Slowly bring the throttle all the way up. (It may not reach 100%) (No worries)
You are good to go
Ron, thank you so much. I have been trying so many things, watching so much YouTube, reading and rereading the Flyinside startup instructions and still every time I got a hot start. Of course I can Ignore it, but that does not suit my nature. Your method works for me. In the Flyinside Heli manager I turned off Automatic Idle Release then just followed your instructions - what a relief! I’m very pleased with my purchase, a lovely aircraft to fly and not as twitchy and difficult as the Flyinside B-47G and being a bigger aircraft, I wouldn’t expect to be (not sure if that is really how it works, but makes sense to me). It was my experience with the B-47 that led me to purchase the B-206.
